SITKA Alpha Fleece Hooded Jacket – Durable, Water-Repellent Mid-Layer in Optifade Timber

The SITKA Alpha Fleece Hooded Jacket is more than a mid-layer—it’s a versatile piece designed for rugged outdoor days. Built with 280-gram, 4-way stretch STORMFLEECE, it delivers lasting durability and flexible mobility that keeps pace with you whether you’re glassing a ridge, trekking a forested trail, or staging an early-morning setup. The fabric blends warmth with breathability, so you stay comfortable as conditions shift from crisp to damp.

What makes it field-ready

• Rugged durability: A substantial 280-gram, 4-way stretch double weave fabric holds up to backpack wear and rough terrain without restricting movement.
• Moisture management: A durable water-repellent (DWR) finish helps shed light rain and mist, helping you stay comfortable during variable weather.
• Chafe-free carrying: Seamless shoulder construction minimizes irritation when a pack is worn for long durations.
• Secure storage: Two zippered hand pockets and an internal zippered chest pocket keep essentials accessible and secure.
• Ventilation without bulk: Mesh-backed pockets promote airflow to prevent overheating during active pursuits.
• Warmth without bulk: A low-profile, form-fitting hood provides warmth and protection while preserving peripheral vision.

Real-world use and layering versatility

Designed for hunters, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts, the Alpha Fleece shines as a dependable mid-layer in cool mornings, breezy ridgelines, or damp afternoons. It pairs well under a weather shell or wears comfortably on its own during milder days, giving you a flexible layering option that adapts to the moment.

In practice, the jacket’s breathable construction helps you stay comfortable during long climbs, late-morning glassing sessions, or quick ambush setups. The Optifade Timber color blends with natural surroundings, aiding concealment while you stay focused on your task at hand.

Care, fit, and expectations

• Movement: The 4-way stretch fabric enables unrestricted movement for ascents and tactical maneuvers.
• Maintenance: Simple cleaning routines help maintain the finish and zippers for ongoing performance.
