Overview
The SPRO Little John Baby DD is a compact deep-diving crankbait created for anglers chasing mid-to-deeper bass action. Designed by B.A.S.S. pro John Crews, this lure blends a small profile with modern casting tech to cover water efficiently. With the Clear Chart color, the lure remains visible while offering a clean silhouette that tracks true when you reel and pause.
What makes it stand out
- Soft tungsten weight transfer system enables longer casts and improved distance control by shifting mass during the cast.
- Designed by B.A.S.S. professional fisherman John Crews for proven performance under pressure.
- Smaller profile deep-diving lure formulated to go where larger lures struggle.
- Dives to depths of 12 feet, opening access to mid-range structure and suspended bass.
- Premium Gamakatsu treble hooks deliver dependable strikes in a variety of conditions.
Color and presentation
Presented in Clear Chart, a translucent pattern that stays visible while blending with water. The color combination helps track action and vibration at depth, supporting confident long retrieves.
In the field
Whether you cast from shore, boat, or kayak, the Baby DD offers castability and controlled immersion that helps you probe mid-depth zones efficiently. The lightweight yet durable build makes it a versatile addition to a deep-water toolbox.
What to expect on the water
During a steady retrieve, the lure exhibits a crisp wobble and subtle thump that helps signal bite moments. Its compact body reduces snagging around cover while still reaching the target depth. The 12-foot dive range makes it suitable for ledges, weed edges, and offshore structure when bass suspend or roam mid-depths.
