Description
Overview
The Spro RKCrawler 55 Mud Bug Crankbait is a compact 2.16-inch lure born from a collaboration with bass fishing pro Mike McClelland. Built to navigate tight pockets of cover, it combines a wide wobbling action with precise deflection tendencies to encourage aggressive follows and timely hookups. This isn’t about one big splash; it’s about a consistent, confidence-building presentation you can trust when the water is rough or the structure is dense.
Why anglers notice it
- Wide wobble hunting action creates pulse in the water that bass perceive as a real target
- Strategic deflection off cover helps the lure stand out and prompt interest from follow-up seekers
- Compact 2.16-inch profile is versatile for working around laydowns, weeds, and rocky bottoms
- Designed with reliable hookups in mind to improve contact as bass move toward cover
On the water: real-life scenarios
Ideal for fishing around fallen trees, brush piles, weed edges, and structure-heavy areas where bass hide in ambush. The motion invites the fish to strike from different angles, offering opportunities during both steady retrieves and varied speeds.
