Strike Fly Company Butt Monkey Grey Articulated Streamer – Size 2, 6-Pack

Overview

The Butt Monkey Grey articulated streamer from Strike Fly Company offers a compact, versatile mid-water lure designed to adapt to a range of water conditions. Sized at 2 and sold as a 6-pack, this pattern delivers ready-to-use options for varied depths and retrieves, with a neutral grey palette that fits many fishable scenarios.

Articulated motion that resonates

The jointed body creates a natural, side-to-side wobble during retrieves. Each bend at the connection points adds a lifelike cue that can catch the eye in both bright and low-light conditions, helping the lure stand out in a crowded strike zone without aggressive action.

Color, size, and practical packaging

• Grey tones provide a neutral, adaptable look across water colors and light levels.
• Size 2 offers a balanced presence for mid-water presentations and proximity to structure.
• Six lures per pack let you test different retrieves and depths without frequent re-rigs.

Where and how to use

• Effective in freshwater streams, rivers, and lakes with varied depth and cover.
• Pairs well with standard fly lines; depth adjustment comes from retrieval speed and line choice.
• Great for presentations near weed edges, fallen timber, and drop-offs where cover holds fish.

Tips for best results

Try a calm steady pull, then add short pauses or quick jerks to emphasize the lure’s motion. Vary depth by adjusting line tension and using different sink rates, and consider a fluorocarbon leader for crisper hook sets in clear water.

Materials, durability, and value

The pattern is built with durable synthetic materials and reinforced joints designed for repeated casts. The six-pack format supports experimenting with retrieves and depths, offering flexibility for different days on the water.
