Tecomate Lablab Plus Deer Food Plot Seed Mix – 20 lb Bag for High-Protein Summer Forage

Overview

Tecomate Lablab Plus is a versatile summer forage seed mix designed to support deer on smaller plots. This blend combines lablab beans with cowpeas, soybeans, sorghum and sunflowers to deliver a balanced profile of protein, fat and energy. Engineered for quick growth and reliable performance, the mix performs in a variety of soils where soybeans and cowpeas can establish, making it a practical choice for modest hunting plots or backyard plots that need robust feeding options during warm months.

Two standout traits help this mix stand out: drought tolerance and multi-species diversity. Lablab adds resilience in hot, dry periods, while the companion seeds create a layered forage that deer may browse across weeks of summer. The blend is designed to be attractive and accessible across the early to late summer, with a structure that can accommodate different plot sizes and management styles.

Key benefits you may notice

• High-protein, energy-dense forage drawn from a mix of lablab beans, cowpeas, soybeans, sorghum and sunflowers.
• Drought-tolerant lablab component that can help maintain forage quality during hot spells.
• Suitable for smaller plots and for sites where soybeans and cowpeas can establish, expanding the options for limited spaces.
• A true blend that provides a variety of large seeds and high-protein forage, helping to diversify available nutrition for deer through summer.
• Gentle on early-season soils, with a planting approach that supports quick ground cover and erosion protection.

Planting and coverage guidance

• Plant in a sunny location with a clean, firm seedbed after disking in the spring. A warm, well-drained site helps seed-to-soil contact.
• Use about 10 lbs per acre for optimal results; one 20 lb bag can cover roughly 1 acre under typical conditions.
• In southern regions, LabLab Plus can be left through fall to extend attraction and nutrition into cooler months.
• Think of this mix as a multi-season option that combines quick establishment with a sustained summer forage window.

While outcomes depend on local conditions, Tecomate Lablab Plus offers a practical pathway to diversify deer forage, improve summer nutrition, and make the most of smaller plots. The blend is crafted to be a dependable, feature-rich choice for season-long interest and consistent visibility in your food plot strategy.
