Description
Overview
The Chartreuse Deer Hair Bass Bugs from The Fly Fishing Place bring visible topwater action to bass and panfish setups. This set includes three hand tied poppers crafted on size 8 hooks, designed to create lively surface pulses that invite strikes during warm water sessions.
Why anglers reach for these bass bugs
- Vivid chartreuse, plus deer hair construction, helps keener visibility on bright days and calm waters.
- Topwater allure is ideal for bank fishing along shorelines, coves, and weed edges.
- Versatile enough for large mouth and small mouth bass in lakes, rivers, and reservoirs.
- Set of 3 flies provides multiple options for different light conditions or water tones.
- Hand tied using premium materials on sturdy hooks to support repeated casts and confident hookups.
Real-life use cases and fishing ideas
- Bank-popping during the heat of summer, when bass feed near the surface and insects scatter on the surface film.
- Shoreline ambushes at dawn or dusk, when bass and panfish approach shallow edges for feeding opportunities.
- Short hops along weed lines and lily pads to provoke surface commotion and entice follows from nearby fish.
- Panfish scenarios where a compact, bright popper can attract sunfish or crappie feeding near structure.
Craft, materials, and quality
Each fly is hand tied by our professional tiers with premium deer hair and durable hooks. The result is a buoyant, action-friendly popper that maintains form through multiple casts and varied retrieve speeds.
