The Fly Fishing Place Chartreuse Humpy Dry Fly – Set of 6 (Size 12)

Overview

The Chartreuse Humpy dry fly remains a staple in many anglers' boxes thanks to its bright, buoyant profile and versatile appeal across a range of waters. This The Fly Fishing Place rendition pairs a chartreuse hairwing with a compact hairbody to form a silhouette that stands out against water glare and shaded seams. As a proven attractor pattern, it invites surface feeding by trout and other freshwater species, offering a reliable option when you need a quick search through pocket-water, riffles, and slow runs. While no single fly guarantees a strike, the thoughtful combination of color, size, and craftsmanship described here can help you test a hatch and sustain a natural drift on the water.
