TIEMCO Hairline Dubbing UV Polar Chenille - Medium, Hot Pink #188 | Fly Tying Material

Overview

TIEMCO Hairline Dubbing paired with UV Polar Chenille delivers a bright hot pink body option for lake and managed-water patterns. This material ties smoothly to the hook shank, then wraps to form a tapered, lively body with a hint of glitter. In outdoor light, the UV-reactive fibers subtly glow, helping the pattern stay noticeable without overwhelming the overall design.

Designed for versatility, the long bristles offer texture that can double as a built-in hackle for tube flies or can be trimmed for smaller patterns. The combination of color, texture, and UV glow gives you a flexible base for a wide range of fly-tying styles.

Why anglers reach for this shade

The pink hue with UV glow can add visibility in varied light conditions, from early morning haze to overcast afternoons. Wrapping around the shank creates a defined body with a touch of sparkle that moves naturally with the retrieve. This material feels reliable in lakes and other managed fisheries, where clear, consistent color helps patterns maintain presence without overpowering other elements of the fly.

Tying tips and real-world use

• Wrap the UV polar chenille around the hook shank to build a tapered, glistening body.
• Use the long bristles as an optional hackle for tube flies, or trim for smaller patterns.
• Place the dubbing base first for a secure, smooth body that resists fraying during tying.

Real-life scenarios and outcomes

Imagine a calm lake at dawn, when subtle color and motion may draw attention. The UV glow of this material can enhance the fly’s silhouette against the water, while the pink hue adds a distinctive signature. The combination of wrapability, texture, and glow provides a versatile option for a range of mid-size patterns, without making bold promises—just possibilities for different water conditions and fish behavior.
