TIEMCO Hairline Dubbing UV Polar Chenille Olive BR265 – Medium

Overview

TIEMCO’s Hairline Dubbing paired with UV Polar Chenille is a time-tested fly tying material designed for lake and managed-fishery scenarios. After securing the base material on the hook shank, you simply wrap the UV chenille to build a lively, moving body with subtle glitter. The UV element adds a perceptible glow in outdoor light, helping the fly read as a natural, shimmering presence on the water without appearing artificial.

Why anglers reach for this material

• Versatile body construction: wrap around the hook shank to form a balanced, mobile body that invites natural movement.
• UV shimmer: the UV polar chenille provides a hint of glitter and visibility across light conditions.
• Long bristles for hackling: use the bristles to add texture on tube flies or trim for smaller patterns.
• Natural Olive BR265 hue: a subdued olive tone that remains appealing under sun and shade.
• Practical hair length: approximately 0.4 inches (10 mm) for consistent tying and fly behavior.

How to use it

• Attach the base: secure the base material firmly on the hook shank.
• Build the body: wrap the UV polar chenille evenly to create a clean, glistening body.
• Hackle or trim: leverage the long bristles for tube-fly hackling or trim for smaller patterns.
• Finish: complete with thread wraps and a protective finish if desired.

In outdoor settings, the UV fibers glow with a purple tint, enhancing visibility from a distance while preserving a natural overall presentation. This effect is most noticeable in flickering sunlight, along weed lines, flats, and rivers where light changes throughout the day.
