Description
Overview
The Tigress XD 15 ft Outrigger pair provides reliable reach, smooth operation, and rugged construction for saltwater trolling. Built for sport fishing boats up to 40 feet, these telescoping aluminum outriggers blend a proven dual-track guidance system with corrosion‑resistant hardware to support confident performance in varied conditions.
Why this pair stands out
Extend the booms and feel the balance of sturdy aluminum and precision engineering. The updated Tigress Track internal tracking system uses dual-tracks to enhance tube strength and keep alignment consistent from setup to stow. These refinements translate to steadier line separation and easier deployment during long days on the water.
- Telescoping aluminum booms reach 15 feet, offering strategic reach for trolling and line management.
- 316 stainless steel polished eyelets and push buttons resist corrosion in harsh marine environments.
- Durable anodized aluminum construction with large-diameter walls provides increased rigidity.
- UV marine-grade internal bushings support smooth, trouble-free sliding in salt air and spray.
Materials and durability
The outriggers use anodized aluminum for a protective, long-lasting finish and robust tube walls that stand up to coastal use. The stainless steel eyelets and hardware withstand repeated cycles and exposure to saltwater. Together, these choices deliver a calm feel when deploying and retracting the system, even after a full day on the water.
Installation and maintenance
Designed to install on compatible outrigger bases, the Tigress XD outriggers ship as a pair and are suited for straightforward setup. Rinse with fresh water after salty use and periodically inspect push buttons and bushings to help maintain smooth operation.
Real-world use cases
Anglers appreciate the combination of dependable deployment, solid tracking, and easy retrieval. Use cases include long-range trolling, quick repositioning for multiple lures, and minimizing cockpit clutter during baits changes. The streamlined profile can help reduce snag potential when moving around the console.
