Umpqua Deceiver HD Pink Fluorocarbon Shock Tippet – 80 lb, 25 YDS

Overview

Meet the Umpqua Deceiver HD Fluorocarbon Shock Tippet in pink. This high-visibility, abrasion-resistant tip is designed to shield your main tippet while delivering a distinct pink contrast that can aid lure presentation in challenging saltwater environments. The 80 lb test is built to handle aggressive pulls, sharp-edged structure, and adventurous species without compromising sensitivity along the line. By combining fluorocarbon's low visibility under water with bold color for your visual cues, this shock tippet aims to help you maintain tension and feel through the strike zone. Whether you're casting from a boat, wading along a jetty, or fishing around kelp and rocks, the pink variant gives you a practical balance of strength, durability, and visibility without requiring a major tackle overhaul. This option complements the clear Deceiver HD version for anglers who prefer a more subdued presentation in clear water.

Key design benefits

• Fluorocarbon-based shock-tippet for abrasion resistance and extended tippet life
• Protects your main tippet from nicks, cuts, and rough edges
• Unique pink fluorocarbon adds high-contrast visibility for your setup
• Also available in a proven Deceiver HD clear fluorocarbon version
• Designed to help present to leader-shy fish without changing your rod or knot setup

In practice, anglers use this shock tippet between the main line and leader to add protection while introducing a vivid pink cue that can aid tracking during retrieves. The lightweight fluorocarbon maintains sensitivity, which helps you feel subtle taps and line movement in saltwater conditions. It pairs well with a range of lures and flies, offering a straightforward upgrade to your existing tackle that stays compatible with familiar knots and rigs. The 80 lb rating provides confidence when fishing around structure, current, or heavier fish species, without requiring a full tackle swap.

How to use
