UMT 1 Pack White Chin Wrecker Blackfish Jig – 2oz, Greenie | UNCLE MO'S SALTWATER TACKLE

Overview

The UMT 1 Pack White Chin Wrecker Greenie is a purpose-built jig for serious bottom anglers. Weighing 2 ounces, this rig pairs a proven color pattern with rugged construction, designed to help you reach structure where tautog, sea bass, and porgy hold. While not a guaranteed solution, the combination of balance, visibility, and sharp hardware offers a thoughtful option when targeting hard-running bottom species in saltwater.

What makes it stand out

Each element is chosen to support dependable performance in real-world scenarios. The jig’s color and profile mimic common prey, the hook holds strong when lines go tight, and the brass body resists the wear that saltwater can cause over time. The result is a compact tool that can stay faithful to a strike zone while you focus on technique and location.

• UMT 1 Pack – a single, focused jig for tautog, sea bass, porgy, and other bottom feeders.
• 3X strong Mustad hook – ultra-sharp, built to handle aggressive strikes and hard runs.
• Greenie finish – time-tested color pattern that consistently draws strikes.
• Solid brass build – precision-machined to resist bending, breaking, and saltwater corrosion.
• Balanced UMT design – keeps bait steady in the strike zone for better hook-ups.

How to use it on the water

• Cast toward structure, then let the jig sink to depth with a controlled drop-rate before a deliberate, steady retrieve.
• Use pauses and short lifts to create a natural, fluttering action that can entice curious bottom dwellers.
• Expose the lure to rock piles, ledges, and wrecks where tautog and similar species often feed.
• Pair with appropriate line and leader setup to maintain control during long, demanding runs.

Whether you’re chasing trophy blackfish or probing coastal bottoms, the UMT Greenie jig provides a practical option that emphasizes balance, visibility, and rugged construction. While success depends on location, sea conditions, and timing, this jig offers a reliable platform to experiment with different retrieves and depths.
