Overview

UTC Ultra Wire Medium is a non-tarnishing copper wire designed to bring structure, weight, and a subtle gleam to your fly patterns. Offered as a four-color combo pack, this wire supports ribbing, body work, and detailing, giving you reliable options during long tying sessions or quick color-matching experiments on the water.

Why choose UTC Ultra Wire Medium

• Non-tarnishing copper for a consistent finish over time
• Adds weight to help flies ride and track in current
• Provides a touch of flash to catch the eye without overpowering the pattern
• Ideal for ribbing and forming wire bodies on a range of patterns
• Quality material built for dependable performance

Medium size in action

Medium is a go-to choice for ribbing on size 8–12 nymphs, offering a balanced combination of rigidity and wrap control. It also works well for adding subtle body structure on mid-sized patterns.

Practical applications for your toolkit

• Ribbing on nymphs and small streamers to create segmentation and durability
• Building wire bodies that hold shape through casting and fish contact
• Adding flash to attract attention while staying true to the overall color scheme
• Pairing with dubbing brushes to craft textured, lifelike bodies

Tip: Store in a dry, cool location to preserve the wire’s bright finish. The four-color combo enables quick experimentation with matching or contrasting tones across water conditions and hatch scenarios. This pack is designed to support a wide range of flies from delicate nymphs to larger patterns, offering versatility without locking you into a single color or finish.
