VARIVAS Avani Casting PE Si-X 400m 160lb (#10) — Ultra-Durable Monster Game Line

Overview

For offshore anglers chasing big-game rewards, VARIVAS Avani Casting PE Si-X delivers a thoughtful blend of length, strength, and visibility. The 400-meter spool at 160 lb test is designed to perform across demanding sessions, from long casts to tough fights, without compromising handling or reliability.

At the core is the Si-X technology, a heat-resistant material kneaded into every strand of the Max Power 16-strand braid. This construction aims to maintain breaking strength under hot sun and salt exposure, while keeping the line supple enough for smooth casting and controlled dives during a fight. The result is a line that feels steady under load, encouraging confident technique rather than reactive adjustments to line behavior.

Key Benefits

• Ultra-high durability with minimal loss of breaking strength under demanding conditions.
• Si-X heat-resistant fiber integrated into all strands for consistent performance.
• Color marking system by size to eliminate guesswork and improve accuracy and distance control.
• White marking line provides a clear visual reference without compromising line feel.
• Designed for monster game fishing, with particular suitability for Maguro tuna and offshore targets.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• Early-morning offshore runs where line visibility and strength matter for long-distance casts.
• Targeting a rolling tuna school, where durable line helps manage powerful runs and tight fights.
• Heavy tackle setups that reward a steady, predictable load response during a fight with a big fish.

Care and Practical Tips

Select the appropriate reel capacity for 400 meters of 160 lb line, pair with compatible leaders, and spool calmly to minimize kinks. Store in a cool, shaded area away from direct heat when not in use.

Notes on Performance

While the line is built for strength and visibility, actual results depend on technique, conditions, and gear pairing. Consider target species, water depth, and casting style when choosing line diameter and strength.
