Description
Meet the VMC Tungsten BugBite Jig
The VMC Tungsten BugBite Jig is a high-density ice fishing lure designed to reach the strike zone quickly and stay there, helping anglers maximize time in productive depths. Its compact tungsten body sinks faster than traditional jigs, reducing drift and delivering more consistent presentations.
The lifelike bug profile, paired with a glow chartreuse finish, mimics natural forage and stands out in varied light conditions. This combination can prompt bites from panfish, crappie, bluegill, perch, and trout as they study, inspect, or commit to the presentation.
Smart design for reliable performance
- Size: 1/32 oz; Color: Glow Chartreuse — compact weight for quick drops and subtle presentations
- Tungsten Construction: High-density tungsten sinks faster, helping keep the jig in the strike zone longer for more opportunities
- Lifelike Bug Profile: Realistic bug-shaped head with a glow finish to entice forage-inspired strikes
- Premium Hook: Sharp, durable VMC hook supports solid hooksets in tough winter conditions
- Brand Advantage: VMC's decades of angling expertise backs this jig for dependable performance
How to use for best results
- Drop technique: Aim for a fast descent to the bottom of the feed zone, then vary with light jigging to mimic natural movement
- Visibility: Use the chartreuse glow in dim light or stained water to improve visibility for nearby fish
- Species suitability: Effective for panfish, crappie, bluegill, perch, and trout under iced conditions
Durability and versatility
Built to withstand cold-water fishing, the BugBite Jig resists bending and keeps the hook edge sharp after multiple catches. Its compact profile glides through slush and ice, offering a versatile option for anglers pursuing finicky species under the ice.
