Wapsi Strung Marabou Shrimp Pink – Premium Fly Tying Material

Overview

Wapsi Strung Marabou Shrimp Pink is a staple in many fly tiers, prized for its soft movement and broad color range. This strung marabou strand offers easy handling and consistent length, making it a reliable choice across patterns.

What makes this marabou special

Marabou fibers are naturally buoyant and flutter in water, creating lifelike motion that helps flies swim with the current. Shrimp Pink provides a light pink hue that can imitate subtle crustacean colors under different light conditions. The strung construction streamlines tying, saving time without sacrificing quality.

• Soft, pliable fibers that move with current for natural action
• Wide color range, including shrimp pink, for pattern versatility
• Strung format for faster tying and consistent strand length

Versatility in the fly box

Use Wapsi Strung Marabou Shrimp Pink as tails, bodies, or flash accents in trout patterns, shrimp-inspired streamers, and classic dries with marabou skirts. The lightweight fibers can be layered with other materials to build dimension.

• Great for trout patterns, shrimp imitations, and light streamers
• Layer with other materials to add volume and motion
• Suitable for both freshwater and gentle saltwater presentations

Tips for tying

• Align fibers before tying to maintain a clean profile
• Trim evenly for balanced, symmetrical tails
• Combine with other materials to enhance color and buoyancy

Care and storage

Keep marabou dry and sealed in a cool, airy area. When handling, gently align fibers to preserve their natural shape and flutter.

Whether you are building a new fly box or replacing worn marabou strands, this Shrimp Pink option offers a familiar feel, reliable movement, and broad pattern potential. It can be a practical addition for tiers who value movement and color in their flies.
