Whitetail Institute Winter-Greens Deer Food Plot Seed – Fall Planting, Cold & Drought Tolerant

Overview

Whitetail Institute Winter-Greens is an annual blend of cool-season brassicas designed for late-season food plots. It stays green and productive in cold weather, standing tall even under snow so deer can find a reliable forage source when other plants fade away. In real field use, this mix can become a recognizable green patch that draws deer during late-season hunting periods and throughout winter, helping you plan a property that supports sustainable deer visits.

Deer consistently browse the greens, and the blend delivers a nutritious late-season forage option without requiring constant replanting. Planted in fall, Winter-Greens aims to provide dependable attraction and energy as temperatures drop and natural forage becomes scarce.

Key Benefits

• Among brassicas tested, it is notably attractive to deer, enhancing plot appeal.
• Fortified with a small amount of Whitetail Institute's tall-tine turnip for added variety and bite.
• A highly nutritious late-season forage source that can help deer maintain condition through winter.
• Extremely drought and cold tolerant, establishing quickly and holding its shape in challenging weather.
• Produces abundant tonnage, providing both early and late-season attraction and energy for deer activity.

How to Use

• Plant timing: fall planting aligns with late-season forage needs and hunting windows.
• Seeding rate: 3 lb per 0.5 acres; broadcast evenly and lightly rake to ensure good soil contact.
