Description
Overview
Designed by B.A.S.S. Elite Series pro Brett Hite and crafted by Yamamoto, the Zako 4'' swimbait is a versatile soft plastic lure built to mimic bluegill and shad in the water. Its compact 4-inch profile pairs with a lively tail action to create a natural presence that can attract bass and other sport fish. The six-pack offers flexible color options under the Sight Flash line, helping anglers adapt to different light and water conditions throughout the day.
Key design features
- A segmented body with a natural profile helps the lure run true when used as a trailer for a jig or a weedless Texas-rig setup.
- A shad-like deep belly combined with flanged fins and an accordion-style tail delivers tight, lifelike motion at a range of retrieve speeds.
- A molded-in belly slit and back groove support consistent hook alignment for streamlined rigging and reliable hookups.
- A centered top line facilitates dead-center rigging so the bait tracks straight during retrieves.
- Available in Yamamoto’s signature color family, including Sight Flash for added visibility in varied conditions.
Recommended setups
- Attach as a trailer on bladed jigs to boost action and flash in murky water or low-light scenarios.
- Pair with standard flipping jigs or weedless Texas rigs for versatile weed resistance and multiple fishing styles.
What’s in the pack
The kit includes a 6-pack of Zako swimbaits in signature colors. Each bait is crafted with careful attention to finish and action, and Yamamoto staff emphasize that every bait is inspected by hand to ensure quality before shipping.
Whether you’re imitating bluegill or shad, the Zako 4'' swimbait offers practical versatility for a modern angling setup, presenting potential benefits without promising specific results.
