Description
Overview
The Yoshikawa Baitfeeder 6000 is a versatile spinning reel designed to handle a wide range of environments and targets. Its cool-gray finish pairs well with many rods, while the build emphasizes durability enough for both freshwater lakes and saltwater estuaries. The balance between strength and weight makes it a practical choice for those who want reliability without sacrificing handling on long days of fishing.
Why anglers choose the Baitfeeder 6000
This reel combines a smart bait-running option with a robust drag and precise gearing. A back-of-reel lever enables a free-spool mode without opening the bail, letting line flow be controlled during big-fish battles while keeping gears protected. The result is a calm setup that supports tactical line management when a strike is imminent.
- 11 corrosion-free ball bearings deliver consistently smooth retrieves and steady line control
- Multi-disk drag with oil-lubed felt washers provides smooth stopping power across species
- 5.5:1 gear ratio supports quick, efficient retrieves when opportunities arise
- Stainless steel shaft and anodized CNC aluminum spool offer strength and longer casting distance
Cross-water versatility
Designed for surf fishing, rock fishing, saltwater boat fishing, and freshwater angling for catfish or carp, the reel is built to perform across conditions. Its CY6000 size, up to 28 lb of drag, and substantial line capacity support a range of big-game targets while remaining approachable on daily trips.
- Line capacities: 16 lb / 220 yd, 20 lb / 170 yd, 24 lb / 140 yd
- Weight: 18.6 oz for a balanced feel without sacrificing strength
- Left-right interchangeable handles for a customized setup
