Z-MAN Razor ShadZ 4.5 Inch Soft Plastic Jerkbait – Breaking Bream, 0.125 oz

Meet the Z-MAN Razor ShadZ 4.5 Inch Soft Plastic Jerkbait, a versatile lure crafted to imitate a live baitfish in both appearance and action. The segmented fish-shaped body paired with a forked tail creates a highly realistic silhouette that stands out in sunlit shallows or shaded bottoms. At 0.125 oz, this compact bait is easy to cast on light tackle, and it’s designed to work as a floating/diving soft jerkbait or as a powerful bladed jig trailer. With four 10X Tough baits per pack, it invites you to test retrieves and color choices across sessions. The 4.5 inch size sits in a sweet spot for many freshwater predators and brackish water targets, with the Breaking Bream color offering a natural forage palette that appeals across conditions.

Floating and diving action you can feel

The Razor ShadZ rests on the surface when unweighted on a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hook. A broad, sloped head prompts a dive on a twitch, delivering a distinctive floating/diving motion that’s hard to replicate with other soft baits. During a twitch or slow retrieve, expect erratic darts and a measured pause that imitates a wounded baitfish, often drawing strikes from bass and redfish in a range of water temps and structures.

Its design also lends itself to weedless presentations. A belly slot and a dorsal pocket enable reliable weedless rigging on the right hook, helping you keep the lure in strike zones where cover is dense while you maintain control over the lure’s depth and action.

Versatility for different conditions

Beyond its standalone jerkbait role, Razor ShadZ shines as a bladed jig trailer when you want a bulkier forage profile. It blends well with Project Z ChatterBait, creating a cohesive look that imitates full-bodied forage such as bream, shad, and herring. When used as a trailer, it can help you cover water quickly while preserving a lifelike motion that predators recognize. If you prefer a twitching jerkbait approach, the 4.5 inch length gives visibility without overwhelming lighter tackle in clear or stained water.

• Weedless rigging via belly slot and dorsal pocket on 3/0 or 4/0 hooks
