Z-MAN Scented Jerk Shad 5\" Coconut Ice Glow | Ultra-Durable Salt-Impregnated Soft Bait

Overview

The Z-MAN Scented Jerk Shad in Coconut Ice Glow is a lifelike soft jerk bait designed to mimic erratic baitfish movements. Its split-tail profile, combined with salt impregnation, aims to deliver a lively, natural feel in the water and through your rod tip.

Built around 10x ElaZtech construction, this lure stands up to tough saltwater environments while maintaining a soft, supple feel that encourages natural action. The body houses a weedless-ready slot for secure rigging and dependable hooksets, making it versatile for a range of presentations.

Why it shines on the water

• Salt-impregnated, split-tail design produces erratic, fish-attracting motion that can trigger aggressive responses from predatory species.
• Pro-cure mullet scent is embedded for ongoing appeal, helping fish hold on longer and increasing strike opportunities.
• Durable ElaZtech material offers enhanced longevity in demanding saltwater bites and heavy retrieves.
• Size options: the 5" version comes in a pack of five baits, with a larger 7" sibling available for bigger targets.

Rigging versatility makes this lure adaptable to several fishing styles, from slow, fluttery retrieves to aggressive jigging, giving you a range of options in one package.

How to use it

• Weightless rigging for a slow, fluttering presentation that teases surface feeders or suspended fish.
• Weighted hook or jig head for bottom-bouncing or jigging along the bottom profile to entice mid-water and near-structure bites.
• Vertical jigging with a heavy jig head for offshore or bottom-dwelling species where aggression is common.

Common scenarios span inshore species such as redfish, seatrout, flounder, and snook, while freshwater anglers report effectiveness with largemouth and smallmouth bass. An up-sized 7" version in the line broadens options for larger species and more aggressive strikes. Consider pairing the scent and buoyancy with your favorite jigging setup to explore different depths and speeds.

In practice, the combination of lifelike action, durable construction, and the scent-enhanced appeal offers a compelling option for anglers seeking a versatile, high-confidence soft bait. While results vary by conditions and technique, many users find the Jerk Shad to be a productive addition to their tackle bag when chasing aggressive, interactive bites.
