Z-MAN StreakZ Curly TailZ 5-Inch Soft Plastic Grub – Midnight Oil

Overview

Meet the Z-MAN StreakZ Curly TailZ in Midnight Oil—a 5-inch soft plastic grub designed for versatility, realistic movement, and durable on-the-water performance. The combination of a fat-minnow body and a tapering curly tail creates a lifelike profile that catches attention and invites a strike from a variety of species. This lure shines when anglers want a single, adaptable option that can be fished with different cadences and rigs.

Durable, lifelike action

Crafted with ElaZtech material, the StreakZ Curly TailZ delivers a 10X tougher profile while remaining flexible enough to produce a convincing tail kick. The broad front transitions to a slender tail, generating pronounced motion that reads clearly to fish as you reel, pause, or pause-and-pause through the retrieve.

• 10X Tough ElaZtech construction holds up to aggressive strikes
• Actual size 4" (tail extended); 5 baits per pack
• Fat-minnow body tapers to a curly tail for engaging action
• Pairs perfectly with Trout Eye or 3/0 HeadlockZ HD jigheads
• Belly hook slot and back groove enable weedless rigging

Rigging versatility

The Curly TailZ is built to adapt to your preferred fishing style. It responds well to a steady, straight retrieve, a slow drag, or an energetic, erratic pattern. The integrated belly slot and back groove support a range of rigs, from weedless setups to weighted presentations.

• Allows straight retrieves, slow pulls, or erratic jerks
• Weedless rigging enabled by the belly slot and back groove
• Works with standard jigheads like Trout Eye or HeadlockZ HD

Color, use cases, and real-life feel

Midnight Oil offers a subdued, shadow-friendly hue that can mimic minnows in low-light conditions. The soft yet resilient texture helps the lure maintain movement across depths and water temps, appealing to curious fish along weed lines, docks, and ledges in both fresh and lightly brackish water.

Pack details and care

Each pack contains five 4-inch lures (tail extended) for testing different retrieves and rig styles. After fishing, rinse with freshwater and store away from direct heat to preserve flexibility and color for future casts.
