Z-Man TRD CrawZ 2.5-inch Crawfish Imitation for Ned Rig & Finesse Jigs

Meet the Z-Man TRD CrawZ 2.5-inch Crawfish Imitation

The Z-Man TRD CrawZ is a compact, ultra-realistic crayfish lure designed for Ned Rig finesse but versatile enough to serve as a trailer or even a saltwater fiddler crab mimic. Its buoyant claws float at rest, creating a natural defensive posture when the bait is dragged along the bottom, catching the eye of bass and other follow-on targets.

Key design details work together to deliver a lifelike presentation without sacrificing control. The tucked-under tail and flat belly are engineered to create a subtle gliding action that finesse anglers seek in tight cover and clear flats.

This 2.5-inch craw imitator pairs perfectly with a range of light jigheads, including Finesse BulletZ, NedlockZ, and ShroomZ series, making it a reliable companion from pitching into brush to slow-rolling along dock pilings. It also shines as a trailer for small skirted jigs such as the ShroomZ Micro Finesse Jig.

Why anglers choose the CrawZ

• Compact, lifelike craw imitation ideal for Ned Rig applications in rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes.
• Buoyant claws lift off the bottom, mimicking a defensive posture that can entice bites.
• Gliding action with tuck-under tail delivers subtle, natural movement in current or on still water.
• Versatile partner with Finesse BulletZ, NedlockZ, and ShroomZ jigheads for down-sized presentations.
• Also works as a compatible trailer for small skirted jigs to broaden on-the-water options.

Color options span a wide array so you can match the hatch in virtually any freshwater habitat—rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes where crawfish are present. The CrawZ’s buoyant design also makes it a potential choice for saltwater fiddler crab-style presentations in calm conditions, adding to its versatility without changing your rig.

Practical tips for best results

• Try slow, controlled taps and gentle pulls to let the claws float and settle between moves.
• Experiment with Ned Rig setups and light jigheads to find the most responsive balance in your water.
